We take reasonable steps to protect confidentiality and security. For questions, contact admin@presenceplatform.ca.

Our commitment

We do not sell your personal information. Presence does not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for their own marketing, profiling unrelated to the Service, or as a standalone product. Any sharing is limited to what this policy describes—for example, service providers who help us run the platform under contract, or disclosures required or permitted by law.

We strive to operate ethically and in good faith, and to comply with all applicable privacy and data-protection laws, regulations, and the practices set out in this Privacy Policy and any related notices we publish.

Information we collect

When you visit the site, we may automatically collect certain information about your device and browser (such as IP address, time zone, and cookies), and how you interact with pages ("Device Information"). When you register or use features, we collect information you provide (such as name, email, organization, address, or payment details where applicable) to provide the Service.

Why we process your data

We process data to operate the website, provide features you request, maintain security, detect abuse, comply with law, and understand aggregated usage. We aim to collect only what is reasonably necessary. Statistical information is generally not used to identify you individually unless needed for security or legal reasons.

You may browse parts of the site without identifying yourself. Some features require personal data; if you choose not to provide it, those features may be unavailable. If you are unsure what is required, contact us at admin@presenceplatform.ca.

  • The right to data portability and to object to certain processing;
  • Rights relating to automated decision-making, where applicable.

To exercise a right, contact us using the email above. If you are in the European Economic Area, we may process data to perform a contract with you or for our legitimate interests, and information may be transferred outside Europe, including to Canada and the United States, with appropriate safeguards where required.

Canadian residents may have rights under PIPEDA, including access, correction, and the ability to complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Our site may link to third-party sites we do not control. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please read their policies when you leave our site.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Legal disclosure

We may disclose information if required by law, to comply with legal process, or to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

Safety, CSAE/CSAM reports, and child protection

Presence is committed to child safety and to addressing child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in line with our published standards in the Terms and Conditions (including the section titled "Child safety standards: CSAE and CSAM (Presence)").

When you use in-app feedback or reporting, email us, or otherwise contact us about safety concerns (including reports related to CSAE or CSAM), we may process the information you provide—including account identifiers, message content, attachments, timestamps, and technical logs—as needed to investigate, prevent abuse, enforce our policies, comply with applicable child-safety and other laws, and cooperate with law enforcement or competent authorities where required or appropriate.

We may retain such information for as long as necessary to fulfill these purposes and meet legal obligations, including preservation requirements. For our child-safety point of contact, see the Terms or write to admin@presenceplatform.ca.
